A Little About Me
My name is Tom Richards and I am an Advanced Rolfer and Movement Practitioner who is certified by the Dr. Ida Rolf Institute of Structural Integration. I have extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, as well as therapeutic relationship as it pertains to this work. Other skills I bring are joint mobilization, visceral manipulation, nerve mobilization, and movement re-education. I have been an avid martial artist and instructor (Wingchun and Escrima) for many many years and it was really that that brought me to be so fascinated by movement, resolving pain, and skill acquisition. I enjoy my work and look forward to sharing this passion with you.
My Inspiration for Healing
I have always been drawn to athletic skill and movement. The power of the body to refine movement skills and to heal itself continues to amaze me. For the past 20 years my passion has mostly revolved around Martial Arts (WingChun and Escrima) as a student and an instructor. Some time ago, I injured my hip and decided to seek treatment with Rolfing®. That was how I met Advanced Rolfer Art Riggs. After my successful rehabilitation, I was so impressed with the results and the process that I decided to study Rolfing myself. I look forward to merge my passion of movement, bodywork, learning, and holistic health to help people just like you.
